Missing Pittsburgh-Area Man's Body Found (patch.com) — Pittsburgh-area residents are learning that the body of 24-year-old Andrew Fornell of Kittanning has been recovered from the Allegheny River near the city after he was reported missing last week. Authorities have not yet determined how he died; the Armstrong County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy while Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation.
3. Tambellini Restaurant Resurfaces In Pittsburgh (patch.com) — Pittsburgh diners have a new way to experience the beloved Tambellini name, as Tambellini & Co. has opened on Brookline Boulevard with a fresh twist on the family’s Italian roots. Co-owners Michael and Trista Tambellini are blending classic Italian Sunday-dinner traditions with modern, globally influenced flavors in a primarily sandwich-focused menu.
4. 2 Dead, 1 Injured In Pittsburgh-Area Crash (patch.com) — A deadly weekend crash on Route 366 in Summit Township left two young adults dead and a 17-year-old seriously injured, with the teen flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. State police say the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, hit a tree, and that alcohol was a factor, underscoring ongoing safety concerns for Pittsburgh-area drivers.
5. Pittsburgh council member introduces plan to revitalize South Side business corridor (wtae.com) — A Pittsburgh City Council member is rolling out a multi-phase plan to revitalize the South Side business corridor, focusing on beautification, marketing, and storefront upgrades. The effort aims to shift the neighborhood’s image beyond late-night bars, with support from local civic groups, businesses, and residents and more details promised in coming weeks.
