Construction workers were at the school working in the pool area. Scaffolding was erected in the empty pool area while that work was being performed. Responders located the woman at the bottom of the empty pool after she fell approximately 30 feet.

The victim suffered traumatic injuries to her head consistent with a fall of that height.

She was taken to the hospital by Pittsburgh EMS in grave condition, where she was pronounced deceased at the hospital shortly after arrival.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the victim's identity.

It's not known what type of work was being performed in the pool area when she fell. Further details were unavailable Monday.

The incident remains under investigation.
