One third of schools vulnerable as measles outbreak spreads (wpxi.com) — Pittsburgh-area families are being warned that low kindergarten measles vaccination rates at many local schools, especially some charter and private campuses, leave children vulnerable as statewide cases surge. An infectious disease expert based in Pittsburgh says Allegheny County is likely to see cases and stresses that raising vaccination rates above 95% is key to preventing an outbreak.
