2. Downtown Pittsburgh MilkShake Factory Location Marks Major Milestone (patch.com) — Downtown Pittsburgh's MilkShake Factory is celebrating 10 years at PNC Plaza with a special promotion on Sept. 19, including buy-one-get-one-free milkshakes and limited-edition T-shirts for early customers. The family-run company, rooted in Pittsburgh since 1914, now operates locations across neighborhoods from Oakland and East Liberty to Cranberry and PPG Paints Arena.
3. Steelers Announce Numerous Acrisure Stadium Enhancements (patch.com) — Fans heading to Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh for the Steelers' 2026 home opener will see a revamped game-day experience, from a new Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass field to upgraded in-game entertainment and fan-focused graphics. Pittsburgh-inspired food options, refreshed club amenities, and new features like the NFL Draft countdown clock and exhibit highlight the city's role as 2026 draft host.
4. Authorities Attempting To Shut Down Pittsburgh-Area Bar (patch.com) — Law enforcement is moving to shut down the Fifth Avenue Taphouse, a New Brighton restaurant and bar in the Pittsburgh area, after a multi-agency drug raid last Friday. Investigators say they found cocaine and cash at the business and a related home, and the Beaver County district attorney plans to work with the state liquor board to close the establishment and pursue charges.
5. ICE activity on the rise in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood, business owner says (wpxi.com) — ICE agents have reportedly increased their presence in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood, with the owner of Las Palmas saying officers twice appeared outside his Broadway business in 24 hours and detained a customer. Casa San José's director says the stepped-up enforcement is affecting the community and local sales, while ICE confirms broader raids but won't discuss the specific Beechview incident.
