Another Steelers Great Makes Pro Football Hall Of Fame
He's the second Steeler to be voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in less than a week.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Yet another member of the Steelers 1970s dynasty has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Safety Donnie Shell, who won four Super Bowls with the Steelers during a 13-year career, will be one of 20 members of the Hall of Fame's centennial class.
Shell will join former Steelers coach Bill Cowher, now a CBS football analyst, as the latest Steelers inductees in Canton.
Nicknamed "The Torpedo," Shell, an undrafted free agent, was a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro. He recorded 51 career interceptions.

The Hall of Fame also elected another member with Pittsburgh ties. Jimbo Covert, Dan Marino's lead blocker at the University of Pittsburgh who later starred with the Chicago Bears, also will be a member of the centennial class.
Steelers president Art Rooney II said this week he also expects the team will play in the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton.
