Arsenal Bowl In Lawrenceville Being Sold
A purchaser has been found for the legendary bowling alley at the intersection of Butler and 44th streets.

PITTSBURGH, PA —Arsenal Bowl, a staple in Lawrenceville since the late 1930s, won't be closing as many had feared. Purchaser have been found for the bowling alley and music venue, described by The New York Times in 2007 as a place "where old-school bowling vibe meets nightclub atmosphere.”
Specialty Group, the Ross-based restaurant brokerage firm, announced the deal via Facebook on Thursday.
"Don’t worry, Pittsburgh, Arsenal Bowl isn’t going away," the post stated.

"This iconic property in Lawrenceville will remain a bowling and entertainment destination in our city We will continue to hit the lanes at Arsenal Bowl for years to come. We can’t release many details right now, but you should get ready for some big news when we close the deal."

Owner Paul Buncher, who is nearing retirement, put the bowling alley on the market in June.
