PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service has issued a note that could disappoint the start to your Memorial Day activities and potentially damage your property.
The weather service has issued a flood watch for Allegheny, Beaver, Greene and Washington counties from 5 p.m. Friday through Saturday afternoon.
Total rainfall amounts will likely range from 1.5 inches to 2 inches in the next 24 hours. Localized higher amounts can`t be ruled out.

.Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
People are urged to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
