Attempted Homicide Charge For Pittsburgh Man In Woman's Stabbing
Allegheny County Police said Joshua Meyer stabbed the female victim multiple times, critically injuring her, and then fled the scene.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh man wanted for attempted homicide and aggravated assault in connection with a weekend stabbing has been arrested, Allegheny County Police said.
A 911 caller alerted law enforcement to the stabbing at around midnight on Dec. 23 in Carnegie, according to officials. Police arrived to the 400 block of 3rd Avenue to find an adult female victim who had been stabbed multiple times. First responders took her to an area hospital in critical, but stable condition, authorities added.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit initiated an investigation, and witnesses helped police identify 41-year-old Joshua Meyer as a suspect, officials said. Police charged Meyer with attempted homicide and aggravated assault on Dec. 23, and said he fled the scene after stabbing her.

Officials arrested Meyer in Carnegie on Tuesday, and he was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
