Organizers of the event, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19 at Robert's Roadside Inn in Bridgewater, are seeking teams to play in the sixes and sand volleyball tournament.

The fee to enter the tournament—which starts at 9 a.m.— is $200, and each six-player team must be composed of at least two women. Each team member will receive a T-shirt, meal ticket, and chance to win team prizes.

Proceeds from the event, held jointly by the boxing club, Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and The Children's Heart Foundation will go toward fulfilling the wish of a Beaver County child with a life-threatening medical condition, as well as funding research into congenital heart failure.

Premier Fitness and Boxing owner Jaryd Boyer knows just how important these organizations can be to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families—his son was born with a serious heart defect, and was the recipient of a Make-a-Wish trip.

"They do so much—we just wanted to do something to give back to them," Boyer said.
