Ms. Worthy’s unexpected death earlier this month has greatly affected those around her. Tracey, 51, was known for a contagious laugh, her generous spirit, a genuine sincerity for all of those she worked with, as well as a talent for crocheting. Friends knew she was working because she would light a relaxing, scented candle to “keep the bad juju away.” Known affectionately as “Night Rover” to her EMS family (her paramedic cap featured the nickname), the Manchester resident loved her two sons, Tony and JT, as well as all others unconditionally. Friends also celebrated her gentle soul and overall positive nature.

Pittsburgh’s EMS community has come together to appreciate and support Ms. Worthy. Grief counseling is available for those who need it through the city’s Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team. Anyone wishing to help Tracey’s family financially is asked to contribute through PNC Bank, a District Chief or Union Executive Board Member. A GoFundMe account has also been established by family. https://www.gofundme.com/70dzruo.
