Bernie Sanders To Stump For Lt. Gov. Candidate John Fetterman
The Vermont senator will appear with the Braddock mayor at a campaign event in Philadelphia.

PITTSBURGH, PA - U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, the runner-up for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, will try to give Braddock Mayor John Fetteman’s lieutenant governor candidacy a boost.
The Vermont Democrat will appear with Fetterman at a campaign event in Philadelphia.
Fetterman previously ran for U.S. Senate in 2016, losing to Katie McGinty in the primary. Although he backed Sanders in the 2016 presidential campaign, Sanders did not support him in his senate bid.

Fetterman faces four opponents for the Democratic nomination: incumbent Mike Stack, former Philly deputy mayor Nina Ahmad, Montgomery County’s Ray Sosa and Chester County commissioner Kathi Cozzone.
.Fetterman, 49, last year was elected to a fourth term as mayor of Braddock, a tiny borough east of the city. He has drawn national accolades for his efforts to revitalize the old steel town.

In addition to Sanders, Fetterman has been endorsed by Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto and former Gov. Ed Rendell.
