PITTSBURGH, PA - Big Burrito Restaurant Group, which operates some of Pittsburgh’s most successful eateries, is poised to debut its latest concept in March. Alta Via will open in Fox Chapel in the space formerly occupied by Donato’s.

The Alta Via menu will emphasize hearth cooking, seafood and homemade pastas. There also will be vegetable-forward recipes and two flavors of soft serve gelato available daily.

“Alta Via fulfils our desire to further explore Italian cooking, embracing a cuisine that celebrates the way we like to live and like to eat: fresh, clean, active.” Big Burrito president and executive chef Bill Fuller said in a statement.
