PITTSBURGH, PA - If you think this week’s fun ended with the Independence Day fireworks display, you’re very much mistaken. For example, a unique double bill Saturday at KeyBank Pavilion certainly should be fun.

Alternative rockers Blink 182 are on tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their classic LP ”Enema of the State” by performing it in its entirety. Blink 182 also is performing three new songs from its upcoming album, the first the band has released since 2016’s “California.”

Touring with Blink 182 is Lil Wayne, an accomplished rapper, singer, songwriter, record executive, entrepreneur, and actor. The pairing at first might seem incongruous, but Weezy, as he’s known to fans, also has a fondness for rock and roll.

And if that pairing doesn’t interest you, check out the people walking around Downtown in animal costumes. Other weekend highlights:

  • Anthrocon 2019, July 5-7, David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.

Yes, its furry time again in Pittsburgh. Some 8,000 anthropomorphic devotees will descend upon Pittsburgh dressed as foxes, wolves, lions, and, ph, probably turtles as well. Doesn't matter if you plan on attending, if you're in the Downtown Cultural District during Anthrocon, you'll probably be exposed to the folks running around in animal costumes.

  • Weird Al Yankovic, July 7, 8 p.m., Benedum Center.

The bestselling comedy recording artist in history is back to play the hits and classics with his Strings Attached tour, a high-energy rock and comedy production featuring his original band, costumes, props, a video wall and - for the first time - background singers and a full symphony orchestra.
Wait. Weird Al with a full symphony orchestra?

  • Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers, July 5, 7:05 p.m.; July 6, 4:05 p.m.; July 7, 1:35 p.m., PNC Park.

It’s worth the price of admission just to watch Pirates first baseman Josh Bell at the plate before he heads off the All-Star Game in Cleveland, but the Bucs have promotions for all three weekend games. Friday is Free Shirt Friday, Saturday is Pirates Hawaiian Shirt Night and Sunday is Rivendale Kids Ice Cream Sunday.

  • Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Kick-Off Rallye, July 7, 11 a.m., Pittsburgh Mills Mall.

You don’t have to be a racer or have experience in a rally competition to enjoy help kick off this year’s Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Any car enthusiast can register to participate in a fun, but competitive, mystery course that will test your driving, navigational and trivia skills through the countryside. The starting point will be at the Pittsburgh Mills Red Robin.
