Body Of Missing Pittsburgh-Area Man Found In River

The search for Sean Michael Dugan ended tragically Tuesday.

PENN HILLS, PA— The body of a Springdale man missing since Oct. 30 was found Tuesday in the Allegheny River.

The body of Sean Michael Dugan, 58, was recovered by Pittsburgh River Rescue around 1:45 p.m. after police and EMS were called to the area of Allegheny River Boulevard and Sandy Creek Road in Penn Hills, which is downriver from Springdale.

Dugan was last seen in Springdale. His vehicle later was found off of Gulf Lab Road in Harmar. His disappearance prompted several community searches in nearby woods and on the water.
