PITTSBURGH, PA - The outrageous musical comedy “The Book of Mormon” is in town this week and the nine-time Tony Award winning production is playing to packed houses at Heinz Hall.

The musical follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries sent halfway around the world to spread the Good Word. Entertainment Weekly called it “the funniest musical of all time,” and as it comes from the creators of “South Park,” it’s has what arguably is the coarsest language of any Broadway hit.

“The Book of Mormon,” is being performed April 18 at 7:30 p.m, April 19 at 8 p.m., April 20 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and April 21 at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

If the thought of Cher singing a bunch of ABBA songs appeals to you, you're in luck. The legendary 72-year-old singer will be touring in support of her ABBA tribute album, "Dancing Queen." Cher, who recently starred in "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again," last appeared in Pittsburgh at the arena in 2014.

Everyone couldn’t wait to see the San Francisco Giants come to town for the first time last year so they could see former Pirates superstar Andrew McCutchen with his new team. McCutchen now is with the Philadelphia Phillies, so the Pirates are offering two promotions to get people to the weekend series. Friday is Free Shirt Friday Night and Easter Sunday is Kids.Drawstring Bag Day.

Based on the French novel, “Les Liasions Dangereuses,” and the classic cult film starring Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillipe and Sarah Michelle Geller, this production pulls you into the manipulative world of two diabolically charming step-siblings. The production features throwback hits by artists such as Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, REM and NSYNC.

St. Louis comes to town in first place in the USL’s Eastern Conference with a 4-1-1 record. Your yinzer footballer guys are tied for seventh place in the conference with a 2-1-2 mark. Can they make up ground in the standings by taking it to those arch-loving St. Louians?
