Burgatory Burger Bash, Chainsmokers Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - If you like a tasty hamburger, The Waterfront is the place to be this weekend. The annual Burgatory Burger Bash competition brings together burgers, culinary professionals, celebrity guest judges and performances by local entertainers.
This year’s competitors include Bobby D's BBQ PA, The Crafty Jackalope. The Pittsburgh Bottleshop Cafe, Burgh'ers Brewing Lawrenceville, Coughlin's Law Kitchen and Ale House. Jamison's on West Liberty, or, The Whale, The Smiling Moose, The Vault Taproom. Twelve Whiskey Barbecue, Winghart's Burger & Whiskey Bar and Wolfies Pub.
The Burger Bash takes place Oct. 12 from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Biggies Bullies and Face 2 Face Healing.

- Chainsmokers, Oct. 11, PPG Paints Arena
The Chainsmokers will bring their World War Joy tour to Pittsburgh along with 5 Seconds of Summer and Lennon Stella. The electronic pop music superstars are best known for hits such as "Something Just Like This" (featuring Coldplay), "Don't Let Me Down" (featuring Pittsburgh's own Daya) and "Closer" featuring Halsey. The band last played Pittsburgh in 2017.

- Carrie Underwood, Oct. 12, PPG Paints Arena
The country star bring her Cry Pretty tour to town in support of last year's "Cry Pretty" album, her first release of new material since 2015's "Storyteller." Maddie & Tae and Runaway June will be the opening acts.
- That Golden Girls Show! A Puppet Parody, Oct. 11, 3 p.m.; Oct. 12, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., Byham Theater, Downtown.
Set in that sassy Miami house in 1985, That Golden Girls Show is one of Off-Broadway’s biggest smash hits that parodies classic Golden Girls moments with puppets. Get set for an evening of cheesecake, laughter, jazzercise, shoulder pads, sex, and the elegant art of the quick-witted put-down.

- Best Bites Pittsburgh, Oct. 12, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. starts at 2 PPG Place.
Sample some of Pittsburgh's best restaurants in one delightful and delicious afternoon. Enjoy tastings of each restaurant’s signature dish at 20 locations, sample specialty cocktails, craft beer and drink pairings along the way, then head back to the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel for the Best Bites Awards After-Party.
