Bush, Cult, STP Concert Top Pittsburgh Weekend Activities
Here's your Patch guide to the area's coolest weekend activities.

PITTSBURGH PA - Three alternative rock titans - Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and the Cult - are tri-headlining what they call the Revolution 3 Tour, which will stop at KeyBank Pavilion July 21 at 6:30 p.m. Each group will perform a full set in a different order every night, so you’ll have to guess which band takes the stage first.
“We are looking forward to seeing everybody. This is a great tour for rock fans," Bush's Gavin Rossdale said in a statement. Stone Temple Pilots' Robert Deleo added, "We are thrilled to join our friends this summer to celebrate our music with all of you."
The Cult's Ian Astbury said, "We look forward to celebrating glorious summer nights of responsible (and irresponsible) hedonism with all of you."

Stone Temple Pilots, which recently released a new album fronted by new lead singer Jeff Gutt, hasn't performed in Pittsburgh since 2011. The Cult last was here in 2012 and Bush's most recent appearance occurred in 2016.

- Picklesburgh, July 20, 21, noon-10 p.m.; July 22, noon-6 p.m, Roberto Clemente Bridge, Downtown.
Picklesburgh is more than just the chance to see the surreal giant pickle float on the Clemente Bridge. It's a culinary celebration that goes beyond the dill pickle to include international dishes, prepared foods and artisan cocktails that feature pickled ingredients; an embrace of the farm-to-table movement and the rising popularity of canning; a selection of handcrafted foods and artisan cocktails from local restaurants; informative how-to demos and author talks at the demo area; merchandise such as pickled goods, books and DIY products.
Picklesburg admission is free.
- Bakery Square Urban Beach Party, July 20, 5 -p.m.-9 p.m., Bakery Square
Break out the leis, Hawaiian shirts and flip flops and have a fun night featuring food trucks, craft beer, live music from the Brighton Boys and a 65-foot sand beach that will seem out of place because you’re in the East End and not the ocean. Pets are welcome at the event as long as they are leashed.
Bakery Square Urban Beach Party is free. Wristbands for four hours of drinking will be available for $20 or single drink tickets can be purchased for $6 (cash only).

- Erasure World Be Gone Tour, July 22, 8 p.m., Byham Theater, Downtown
The famed English synthpop duo of Andy Bell and Vince Clarke are collaboration with Echo Collective, the Brussels-based collective of post-classical musicians best known for their ongoing collaborative work with A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Johann Johannsson, Dustin O’Halloran and Stars of the Lid. The collaboration sees the entirety of Erasure’s latest album, “World Be Gone,” given a postclassical rework.
Erasure tickets start at $39.50.
- Pittsburgh Riverhounds vs. Charleston Battery, July 21, 7 p.m., Highmark Stadium, Station Square
Following a 13-day hiatus, Riverhounds SC (9-1-7) will be back in action to Saturday to face Charleston, which sits just one spot below the Hounds in the Eastern Conference. What better way to spend a Saturday evening than by watching a soccer match along the shore of the Monongahela River while taking in a great view of Downtown?
