Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) Featuring Clark Wilson on the Mighty Wurlitzer

Pittsburgh Area Theatre Organ Society (PATOS), formed in 1971, is pleased to announce our upcoming Halloween program on Oct 24, 2026.

Experience a night at the movies unlike anything you’ll find at today’s multiplex. Witness the mighty PATOS theater organ as it accompanies the thrilling 1923 silent film THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME starring Lon Chaney, "the man of a THOUSAND FACES” and the most famous star of silent horror films. The story is a classic Victor Hugo tale of love, betrayal and redemption.

Accompanying the film will be the world famous, award-winning organist/historian Mr. Clark Wilson who has a 35 year career as house organist at the Ohio Theatre in Columbus, Ohio.

Clark will be at the console of the historic three-manual, nineteen-rank Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ originally installed in the Prospect Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. Clark is considered the finest silent film accompanist in the United States and has performed all around the world.
