Calling a Tech for a Warm Refrigerator? Please Don’t Unplug It

If you unplug the refrigerator and let everything melt, that diagnostic evidence may disappear, making the issue harder to diagnose.

Of course, if your food is at risk of spoiling, move it to a cooler or backup refrigerator to keep it safe. But if possible, leave the appliance itself plugged in and avoid touching internal components, panels, or the ice maker until the technician arrives.
