Car Slams Into Pittsburgh Convenience Store

PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman was injured Wednesday when a car crashed into a South Side convenience store and she was pinned between the vehicle and the building.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, police on the scene investigating a robbery that had just occurred at the store felt the building shake and heard breaking glass. When they went outside to investigate, they found the injured adult woman.

The woman was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and was listed in stable condition with a leg injury.

The adult female driver stayed on the scene, but was found to not have a valid driver’s license. She was taken into custody and is in the Allegheny County Jail.

The store sustained minor damage to its exterior.
