Carnegie Mellon Suspends International Travel Due To Coronavirus
The university ban applies to students, faculty and staff.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Carnegie Mellon University has suspended all university sponsored international travel until further notice due to the global coronavirus outbreak. University Provost Jim Garrett made the announcement on the university website.
The suspension applies to all student, faculty and staff international travel for CMU-sponsored academic and research activities such as coursework, academic and research conferences. It also applies to non-academic activities such as volunteer service trips.
"We know this announcement impacts many of you, " Garrett stated on the website. "But after consulting with CMU faculty and students, surveying our peer institutions, and factoring in the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have come to this decision in support of the health and safety of our campus community. Your well-being is our top priority."

CMU’s domestic travel policy is not affected at this time/ But Garrett said that anyone who does not feel comfortable traveling for CMU business within the United States had the option of not taking the trip.
