Cat Severely Wounded By Fireworks Gets New Home

PITTSBURGH, PA - Pickles, the cat whose leg had to be amputated after firecrackers tied to its paw with rubber bands exploded, has found a new home. The cat has been adopted, according to Humane Animal Rescue, which treated the wounded animal.

The abhorrent case of animal abuse made headlines last week after a good Samatitan brought the animal to the rescue offices. The incident is believed to have happened around the Fourth of July; the paw was so severely infected and maggot-ridden that the leg could not be saved.
