Cedar Point Going Cashless
The popular Ohio destination spot won't be accepting cash for the 2022 season. Here's what you need to know about the change.
SANDUSKY, OH — Cedar Point is moving to cashless payments this year. Credit and debit cards can be used, or Apple Pay or Google Pay.
The popular amusement park also is adding cash-to-card kiosks that converts cash into prepaid debit cards that can be used outside the park. There will be no conversion fees, and up to $500 can be loaded on a card.
The prepaid cards can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.However, after 92 consecutive days of no transaction activity, a $3.95 fee will be charged each month.

“There are plenty of benefits, both for guests and our parks," Cedar Point spokesman Gary Rhodes said in a statement. "Cashless transactions are faster, safer and more secure. Guests can spend less time in the check-out waiting on change and more time hitting up their favorite rides or other attractions."
