Christmas In August: Pittsburgh Picks City Hall Holiday Tree
With four months to go before Christmas, the tree that will adorn the City-County Building, Downtown, already has been determined.

PITTSBURGH, PA — With temperatures hovering around 90 and many area swimming pools still open, city of Pittsburgh public works officials decided to do a little Christmas shopping. Four months before the holiday, the city has selected the tree that will be placed in front of the City-County Building, Downtown.
It's a 45-foot blue spruce being donated by the Chris Fuga family of the city's Lincoln Place neighborhood. The tall tree will be the 106th to decorate the city's governmental hub for the holidays.
City officials did not announce when they will put up the tree, but they have considerable time to make that decision.
