Christmas Tree Recycling Drop-Off Locations Around Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh and Allegheny County are offering plenty of places where your tree can be turned into mulch.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Your Christmas tree undoubtedly looks great lit up and ornament-adorned but the harsh reality is that it can’t stay that way forever. Eventually, you’re going to have to dispose of it.

Pittsburgh and Allegheny County both are offering tree recycling programs this year, with the city expanding the number of drop-off locations from two to 10.

County residents can drop off Christmas trees from Dec. 26 through Jan. 14, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. until dusk. All lights, decorations, tinsel and stands must be removed from trees, which will be mulched and used in the county parks.
