The Clarks' 10th Album Embraces Alt-Country Sound
The veteran Pittsburgh band will release "Madly In Love At The End Of The World" on June 8.

PITTSBURGH, PA - If you think the Clarks have been an enduring presence in Pittsburgh’s local music scene, you’re correct. The band has been around so long that the son of drummer David Minarik plays on the band’s upcoming new album.
The Clarks’ 10th studio album, “Madly In Love At The End Of The World” will be released June 8. If you want to hear the new songs live, you won’t have to wait long, as the band will play a June 16 concert at Stage AE on the North Shore.
The Clarks will play the new album in its entirety at the show. But expect to hear older tracks as well, as this month marks the 30th anniversary of the release of their first album, “I’ll Tell You What Man.”

Recorded at the Church Recording Studio in Overbrook, “Madly In Love,,,” is an 11-track work that finds the band delving into alt-country and refining its guitar sound by using a pedal steel guitar and organ on some tracks.
“We’ve never had more fun composing and recording songs,” bass player Greg Joseph said in a release. “With our storied recording history, it’s really heartening to know that music can still captivate the band as much as it has on this album.”
