Commercial Street Closing For Landslide Repairs

PITTSBURGH, PA - A section of Forward Avenue and Commercial Street that links Squirrel Hill and Swisshelm Park will be closed to traffic next week for landslide repair work.

The road will be closed between Summerset Drive in Squirrel Hill and Whipple Street in Swisshelm from Jan. 21 through Jan. 25 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the Pittsburgh Department of Mobility and Infrastructure. The closure is necessary so contractors and drill core borings into the hillside.

Emergency vehicles and school buses will be accommodated by on-site workers.
