Condado Tacos Sets Lawrenceville Location Opening Date

The popular eatery is about to open its second Pittsburgh location, with more on the way.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Condado Tacos, which has been a hit with diners since opening Downtown near the David L. Lawrence Convention Center last year, is putting the finishing touches on its second Pittsburgh location. The Lawrenceville Condado will open Oct. 18 at 4300 Butler St. in the former Tender Bar + Kitchen space.

The restaurant chain debuted in Columbus in 2014 and has five restaurants there, one in Cincinnati and one in Indianapolis. Condado features build ‘em yourself tacos in which patrons take pencils and fill out menu cards listing a variety of shells, proteins, toppings, cheese salsa and sauces.

Tacos are priced between $3.50 and $4.50. They can be washed down with tequila, margaritas and other adult beverages.

Thrillist recently named Condado as having the best tacos in Ohio.

“Filling options for those tacos are fantastic, with an incendiary ghost pepper steak ready to set tongues aflame, housemade chorizo for mellower palates, BBQ pulled jackfruit and Thai chili tofu for the flesh-averse,” the website stated. “And if you're feeling lazy (or a little too mezcal-ed) to build your own they have a fantastic roster of prescribed tacos that come in seven different tortillas.”
