Coronavirus To Delay Sandcastle's 2020 Season
The popular water park will not be able to open its season as originally scheduled.

WEST HOMESTEAD, PA - Sandcastle has announced that it will not open its 2020 season as scheduled because of the coronavirus outbreak. The popular water park had been slated to open on May 23.
"While it's too soon to confidently predict an opening date, please know we remain committed to opening Sandcastle this summer for you to enjoy as safely as possible," a post on the water park's park's website stated.
Sandcastle is extending 2020 season passes through June 2021 at no cost to passholders, who will have the option of extending their 2021 season pass or through December 2021 at a reduced rate. A similar plan has been adopted by the water park's sister park, Kennywood in West Mifflin.
