CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Two Noah's Event Venues in southwestern Pennsylvania have abruptly closed, leaving couples who scheduled their upcoming wedding receptions scrambling to find an alternative location. The Noah's in Cranberry and Canonsburg, Washington County, have shut their doors.

The closing of Noah's locations nationwide follows a judge's order on Thursday for the company to shut down. Noah's filed for bankruptcy last year, but continued to book weddings and other events, and the website for the Cranberry location remains active.

Noah's will move from a Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy to a Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy. It's unclear if people who made a deposit for an event at Noah's will be able to recover their money.

In Pittsburgh, other venue operators are reaching out to those now forced to find a new location for their event. Among them are the Syria Shriners, which operate the Pittsburgh Shrine Center in Harmar.

"We truly empathize with those whose wedding plans and business arrangements were upset by this announcement," the Shriners stated on the organization's Facebook page. "If you or someone you know has been harmed by the closure of Noah's of Cranberry or Canonsburg, The Pittsburgh Shrine Center is a magnificent facility and we would be happy to discuss available future dates with you."
