Cranberry Getting New Marriott Hotel, Cracker Barrel

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Plans are advancing for a new Marriott Element hotel and a Cracker Barrel restaurant on the site of the former Echo restaurant on Route 228 near Cranberry Woods Drive.

Township supervisors this week are expected to approve modified plans for a 69,00-square-foot, six-story hotel with 104 rooms and a 9,000-square foot restaurant and retail area. The Cracker Barrel and the hotel will share a 197-space parking lot.

Developer Mars Real Estate Holdings also is upgrading nearby Longtree Way, which provides access to Route 228.

Marriott’s Elements are boutique hotels that operate under sustainable and green practices.
