HOMESTEAD, PA — Five firefighters were injured and at least three homes were damaged Saturday when a massive five-alarm blaze broke out in Homestead, according to authorities and reports.

Police and first responders were called to a building located in the 200 block of East 17 Avenue, where the fire broke out Saturday morning, WPXI reported.

The Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Department on Facebook said the fire was affecting multiple structures as crews battled water supply issues and frigid temperatures.

Video obtained by WPXI heavy flames and smoke coming from a building's attic.

According to a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report, five firefighters were injured. None of the injuries were life-threatening, Steve Imbarlina, assistant chief of Allegheny County Emergency Services, told the Trib.

At least eight residents were displaced, reports said. Three houses sustained damage in the blaze.
