Dan Aykroyd To Appear In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA - Dan Aykroyd is more than just an award winning actor, writer and musician. He’s also a wine and spirits distributor and it’s that role that will bring him to Pittsburgh this week.
Aykroyd will sign bottles of his Crystal Head Vodka on Sept. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fine Wine 7 Good Spirits Premium Collection at the Waterfront in Homestead. The brand is known for its distinctive bottle shaped like a human skull.
Since joining the cast of "Saturday Night Live" in 1975, Aykroyd has written or appeared in more than 100 television shows and films, including the original "Ghostbusters," "Coneheads," "Trading Places," and "Spies Like Us." He earned a best supporting actor Oscar nomination for "Driving Miss Daisy," and was nominated for a Grammy Award for the triple-platinum Blues Brothers album "Briefcase Full of Blues."

In 2005, Aykroyd both was granted the rights to distribute Patrón Spirits throughout Canada and entered the wine business in Canada. The success of Patrón in Canada prompted him to enter the U.S. marketplace in December 2008 with Crystal Head Vodka.
