Downtown Pittsburgh Parking Rates Among Nation's Highest

It doesn't matter if you're parking by the hour, day or month. The rates are among the most expensive in the country.

PITTSBURGH, PA - If you think it’s expensive to park Downtown, you’re correct. Pittsburgh’s central business district has some of the highest major metropolitan area parking rates in the United States, according to a new parking index by Parkopedia.

The world’s leading parking service provider ranked parking rates in the nation’s 40 largest cities. The rankings are divided by hourly, daily, monthly and monthly reserved rates; the best Pittsburgh could do in any of the categories was a tie for 16th place.

To create the index, Parkopedia used data from more than 650 parking facilities that cover more than 300,000 parking spaces. Parking prices were calculated as the median of corresponding parking rates for all publicly available off-street parking facilities in a city center.
