Downtown Pittsburgh Stabbing Occurs

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man was seriously wounded Thursday night after being stabbed in Downtown Pittsburgh.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, police were dispatched to the medic station on the Boulevard of the Allies for a reported disorderly person.

Arriving officers located a man with a stab wound to his back. In an attempt to gain the attention of medics, he accidentally shattered the window of the medic station.

The man was taken to the hospital and was reported in stable condition.

Video footage captured the man coming from the 200 block of Smithfield Street before turning onto the Boulevard.

The investigation is ongoing.
