Duran Duran To Perform In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — Duran Duran, Rock And Roll Hall-Of-Famers and a pop music staple since the 1980s, are coming to town.

The band, known for hits such as "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Rio," and "Ordinary World," announced a world tour on Wednesday. They will play at PPG Paints Arena on Sept. 9.

"It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones, and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers," lead singer Simon Le Bon said in an online statement.

"We are truly grateful that we get to do what we do on a daily basis, and that we still love our job as much as we did when we started out some four decades ago."

Duran Duran will be joined on all dates by rockers Bastille as well as well as rhythm and blues stars Nile Rodgers and Chic.

Presale tickets for the Live Nation-promoted tour will begin on Feb. 13 for band VIP members. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Feb. 15.
