Edgar Snyder & Associates is pleased to announce the winners of its 14th annual “My Holiday Wish” Coloring Contest, which is open to all elementary school children in western and central Pennsylvania.

Competition was fierce, and the winning artwork was selected by an independent panel of judges who took into consideration the creativity of the design, the quality of the artwork, and the message portrayed in the drawing, among other factors. The judges selected:

  • Marshall Eckenrode, 9, a student at Cambria Heights Elementary School in Carrolltown, as the grand-prize winner
  • Allison Baker, 11, a student at State Street Elementary School in Baden, as a runner-up
  • Jack Manon, 5, a student at Joe Walker Elementary School in South Franklin Township, as a runner-up
  • Jamie Ziegler, 11, a student at Sunnyside Elementary School in Pittsburgh, as a runner-up

Each winner received a $1,000 donation to their school on their behalf, as well as a VISA gift card. Additionally, their artwork is featured on the law firm’s 2017 holiday card and on a billboard located near their hometown.

“This contest is something I look forward to each year. These kids’ holiday wishes show so much caring. This year they wished for things like world peace, friends for the lonely, food for the hungry, and homes for those who don’t have them,” Attorney Edgar Snyder said. “Seeing that kind of compassion from the youngest among us is heartwarming, and we’re proud to help encourage it.”
