Edgar Snyder & Associates Scholarship Competition Now Open
The firm is offering up to $10,000 in scholarship money in the competition, which tasks students with creating a safe-driving message

Edgar Snyder & Associates is now accepting entries for the firm's 12th annual "Words to Be Heard" scholarship contest, which tasks graduating western and central Pennsylvania seniors with creating a presentation discouraging their peers from dangerous driving behaviors.
Graduating high school seniors are encouraged to participate in the contest, which awards three scholarships each year. The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship, while the second- and third-place winners will win $5,000 and $2,500 awards, respectively.

Who’s eligible? Graduating seniors in western and central Pennsylvania who will attend a college, university, or trade school the summer or fall immediately following their graduation.
What are the presentation options? Students are encouraged to use their imagination to create a compelling safe-driving message that discourages underage drinking and driving and texting while driving. Past winners have created videos, websites, and songs. Last year’s winning entry was a board game designed to warn young people about the dangers of drunk and distracted driving.

When is the deadline to enter? Entries must be postmarked by March 23 to be eligible.
Winners will be announced in April.
