Elderly Man Struck, Killed By Car In Pittsburgh Area

Police are investigating the fatal incident, which occurred Thursday morning.

NORTH BRADDOCK, PA — Allegheny County police are investigating the death of a 75-year-old man who was struck and killed by a car Thursday morning.

Police responded to the intersection of Braddock Avenue and O'Connell Boulevard at around 8:15 a.m., where they found the victim in critical condition. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

Police said the preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was traveling north on Braddock Avenue when it left the roadway, striking the victim.

It's unclear if charges will be filed.
