Elle King, Art All Night, Home Show Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - Since her debut EP was released in 2012, singer Elle King has put out a variety of music that encompasses rock, country soul and blues. Her 2015 debut album “Love Stuff,” won her two Grammy Award nominations for the hit single “Ex’s and Oh’s.”

King has toured with acts such as The Dixie Chicks, Train, James Bay, Of Monsters and Men and Michael Kiwanuka. She’ll be headlining when she comes to Pittsburgh this weekend for a show with Barns Courtney.

King will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. at Stage AE on the North Shore.

Other weekend highlights:

  • South Hills Home Show, Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Cool Springs Sports Complex, Bethel Park.

Three days of exhibitions, seminars and demonstrations will provide you with valuable information on home improvement, decorating and landscaping projects. Home improvement expert Andy Amrhein will shares advice on home improvement projects from painting and tiling to gutters and grills. KDKA will broadcast live from the event Saturday morning with the popular “True Value Home Improvement Hour.” Admission to the home show is free.

  • 22nd Annual Art All Night, Saturday 4 p.m. to Sunday at 2 p.m., 31st Street Studios, Strip District.

Art All Night is an annual free, uncensored, non-juried art show with a different location every year. The family-friendly event includes children’s arts and crafts activities from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday. The event also includes a parade, interactive art and an auction.

The McCartney Project is an entertaining tribute The Beatles, Wings and Paul McCartney featuring. A left-handed, sound-alike, look-alike Tony Burlingame as Paul McCartney playing the iconic Hofner violin bass. Burlingame, along with the McCartney Project band, recreates the best of The Beatles and the monster hits of Wings.

Pitt Jam Fest annually brings 36 basketball courts under one roof. Every year, the tournament attracts more than 475 high-level teams along with 225 college coaches for an unmatched hoops experience. Pittsburgh Jam Fest is expected to attract more than 5,000 participants and fans.
