Facade Above Pittsburgh Bar Collapses, Closes Busy Street
The facade above a popular Lawrenceville tavern has closed a portion of Butler Street.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A portion of Butler Street in Lawrenceville remains closed after the facade of a building collapsed early Thursday, sending bricks tumbling onto the road.
The building, which houses Industry Public House, is in the 4300 block of Butler Street. Butler is closed between 42nd and 44th streets, and it's unclear when it will reopen.
No one was injured and there are no utility outages, though Duquesne Light was on scene tending to hanging wires, according to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Public Safety.
