WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA — A portion of a Pittsburgh-area interstate is shut down following a fatal crash that happened Thursday on Interstate 70.
A motorist died after a head-on collision into a tractor-trailer, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash occurred at around 1:30 p.m.

I-70 is closed between the Taylorstown and Claysville exits.
According to police, a Ford Focus was heading eastbound when it crossed the median and went into oncoming traffic before colliding with the tractor-trailer.

The driver of the vehicle, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It's unclear if any other injuries happened in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
