FBI Seeks Stolen Missing Andy Warhol Artwork

The FBI has renewed attempts to recover seven pilfered works of the late artist and Pittsburgh native Andy Warhol.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The FBI's Pittsburgh office is rekindling efforts to recover artwork created by legendary artist and Pittsburgh native Andy Warhol that has been missing for the past eight years.

The FBI announced on X Friday that it is seeking information leading to the recovery of seven Warhol Campbells soup can prints that were stolen from the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, Mo. in 2016.

The 10-piece collection, of which only three prints remained following the theft, had been on display at the museum since 1985 and was valued at approximately $500,000.

Each print in the screen print collection measures 37 inches high by 24.5 inches wide and are framed in white frames. Images of the stolen artwork are featured above.
