Fenway Sports Group Inks Deal To Purchase Pittsburgh Penguins
The sales agreement of the National Hockey League team is expected to be announced on Monday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Boston-based Fenway Sports Group signed a purchase agreement Sunday for a controlling interest in the Penguins. The deal is expected to be officially announced later today.
The move was reported by The Boston Globe, whose owner, John Henry, also is the principal owner of FSG and the Boston Red Sox.
Penguins owners Ron Burkle and Mario Lemieux will retain a minority ownership stake in the team.

The purchase still has to be approved by the National Hockey League's Board of Governors and the Pittsburgh Sports and Exhibition Authority.
