Flooding Occurring In Pittsburgh Area
Heavy rains have triggered flood warnings for the Pittsburgh area. Get the details here.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations in Western Pennsylvania is imminent or occurring.
A flood warning is in effect until 10:30 a.m. but flooding could occur after that.
According to the National Weather Service, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain early Friday. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in many areas.

Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain fell overnight.
According to the weather service, some locations that will experience flooding include Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township, Wheeling, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Moon Township, McMurray, Greensburg, Weirton, McKeesport, Steubenville, Washington, Franklin Park, East Liverpool, Jeannette, Aliquippa and Canonsburg.

Temperatures will be much cooler for the next several days. The anticipated high today is 51. Saturday, highs will only reach the mid-40s.
Temperatures will begin to rebound on Sunday, with highs expected to be in the upper 50s.
