Former `Dance Moms' Star Shows Off New Look, Attitude From Prison
Abby Lee Miller took to Instagram to provide an update on her imprisonment.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Incarceration seems to be doing former “Dance Moms” star and Pittsburgh native Abby Lee Miller a world of good. Miller claims in a recent Instagram post that prison has made her a better person and she has lost considerable weight in a photo accompanying the post.
“My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison,” Miller stated in the post. “I have made friends with both inmates and staff, I’ve tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me and I am a better person for this experience.”
TMZ reported that Miller, 51, has lost as much as 100 pounds since reporting to federal prison in Victorville, CA last July. She was sentenced to a year and a day in prison after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud and other charges.

Miller appeared in the popular Lifetime reality show from its 2011 debut until quitting the program last year. The show, which dealt with Miller's attempts to instruct young female dancers while getting into near-constant confrontations with their mothers, initially focused on Miller's suburban Pittsburgh dance studio.
Sometimes in life you make mistakes I trusted the wrong people and didn’t pay any attention to things I should of. I’m more than sorry for the mistakes I have made. My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison. I did so with grace, the stories you read about me been a princess are untrue. I have made friends with both inmates and staff, I’ve tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me and I am a better person for this experience. All the press stories and speculation are not entirely correct however, I am feeling hopeful but no dates have been confirmed at this time. I am feeling great and ready to turn over a new leaf thank you so much to everyone for your support especially my nearest and dearest I love you all ❤️ ( and yes this is me in prison ) #abbyleemiller #abbylee #dancemoms #dance #aldc
