Former KDKA Talk Show Host Dies

The former talk show host worked at several other Pittsburgh stations over the years.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Jack Wheeler, a formidable presence in Pittsburgh radio for years, has died, according to PBRTV. Mr. Wheeler was 93 and lived in Florida.

Mr. Wheeler was an overnight talk show host at KDKA-AM starting in the late 1960s. He moved to WEEP-AM in the mid-1970s before moving to Florida. He returned to Pittsburgh in the early 1990s to work for WJAS-AM until returning to Florida in the early 2000s. He also worked for WWCS-AM in Canonsburg.

Funeral arrangements were not immediately available.
