Former Lawrenceville Tavern Owner Dies

The former proprietor of a popular Pittsburgh neighborhood bar has died at 90.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Daniel Tomasovich, the former owner of Dan's Tavern in Lawrenceville, died on March 29. He was 90.

Mr. Tomasovich, of Ross, formerly of Lawrenceville and the North Side, was known for operating an establishment where tamburitza music was played every Friday evening. He was proud of his Serbian heritage and Orthodox faith and enjoyed dancing the polka and jitterbug with his wife, Nancy.
