Former PA School Board Member Faces Sexual Assault Charges

The ex-school director allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old teen who worked for him.

BUTLER, PA — Former Butler school board member William Halle has been charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old minor who worked for him. Halle resigned from the school board in April after a judge issued a temporary sexual violence protection order that claimed Halle was sexually involved with the girl.

The Butler Eagle reported that Halle, 58, was charged with sexual assault by a volunteer or employee of a nonprofit; corruption of minors; criminal uses of communication facility; and criminal solicitation with the notation of sexual assault by a volunteer or employee of a nonprofit.

The nonprofit references in the charges refer to the Grace Youth and Family Foundation, where Halle employed the alleged victim. Halle is the organization's founder.
