Former Pittsburgh Radio Host Dies From Coronavirus

The former radio host succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Stephen Chatman, a founding host of "The Soul Show" on WYEP-FM, died Monday from complications of the coronavirus. The station announced Mr. Chatman's death on its Facebook page.

Mr. Chatman hosted the popular program on WYEP from 1995 until he left the station in 2009. He passed away in Arizona, where he had been residing.

Mr. Chatman's daughter disclosed last week on his personal Facebook page that he had been placed in a medically induced coma while battling the coronavirus.
